I am Niko, turning 18 this june 2010. I cannot register nor vote this coming election,
but if you would ask who i will campaign or vote? I would surely say “Brother Eddie Villanueva”.
Right now you might be laughing or saying, “What the heck? Bro. Eddie? Praise the Roof!”
But let me first answer why and in the end at least consider watching the video above.
Yes, my birthday is one month after the election and yes that is Brother Eddie.
Why? not because i am a JILian (Jesus Is Lord Worldwide) or that i belong in a youth ministry(KKB),
but because i’ve been watching the news lately, reading the headlines and checking the National statistics.
I also asked why him and threw several questions like:
Why a preacher/Evangelist needs to enter the dirty world of Politics?
What about the Separation of Church and state dude?
Why don’t you just stay on the four corners of the Church?
How are you expecting Muslims and other religions to support you?
The Philippines is a Democratic country not a Theocratic!
But i ended up knowing that it was never stated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution that nation and God-loving Filipinos are disqualified to run for Presidency.
I was judging the Person for what i know about Him and not for who he really is.
I realized that Muslims and other Religious groups already joined him and have set a side Religion for the destiny of the Nation. And for him applying for in Commission on Elections for COC (Certificate of Candidacy) is a Pre-requisite for my dream:
“GENUINE change for our country”.
I’m so fagged and tired of hearing the plead of our beloved nation.Righteousness is what will exalt a nation and everything rises and falls under leadership.
I don’t want to open my eyes every single day and see people with starving stomachs, useless diplomas, a face of hopelessness, and a life with no God inside it.
How about other candidates?
Traditional Politics wont work! It never did. When will the Filipinos ever learn?
What we need is a brand new Politics.
Excellence alone is not enough to be a President. You should have a genuine love for you country, compassion for your countrymen, the will to eradicate corruption and the strength to step out of your comfort zone and fear of the Lord from doing something unrighteous. That is Brother Eddie C. Villanueva.
I would “like” your post on facebook if you’ll say start saying that I don’t deserve to credibly type this words.
But ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
THE FUTURE OF MY COUNTRY DOES NOT DEPEND ON BROTHER EDDIE.
BUT ON ME WRITING THIS BLOG, YOU READING THIS RIGHT NOW AND “WE THE SOVEREIGN FILIPINO PEOPLE” DOING SOMETHING (NO MATTER WHAT SIZE IT IS )FOR A THE CAUSE OF GOD AND FOR THIS NATION.
I wont give up. I would give this nation a chance. Even the last one for my generation.
How i wish that after the election, the time i open my Yahoo messenger account, a Yahoo Philippines Window will pop up and i will see some good news. A country with 0 Corruption. I want to see a brand new Philippines, with positive Filipinos.
Yes i would be there wearing sunshine yellow shirt,
i would yield a “diyos at bayan” sign (peace),
i would be carrying a DSLR documenting his events,
i would be on my knees without eating for this country,
i would tell my friends who Brother Eddie is,
how true his Courage, Character, Competence and Compassion is
and i will rise up and CHANGE my nation.
NOW, DO YOU REALLY WANT CHANGE?
